Cocoa, a small evergreen plant, is the source for everything chocolate. The plant is usually grown on small farms in countries near the equator and prefers humid, rainy climates. This is important to consider when trying to germinate cocoa beans, as they are very temperamental and delicate, and must be in a temperature that doesn't stray below 68 degrees F (so greenhouse conditions are ideal).
